It’s almost here!

Step 1 - Early Spring

We apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer and pre-emergent herbicide in early spring as the grass begins to green up. This helps control the growth of annual weeds before they become established and provides the necessary nutrients for early growth without promoting excessive leaf development.

Step 2 - Late Spring

Around six to eight weeks after the first application, we apply a second round of fertilizer and pre-emergent. This helps to sustain healthy growth without promoting excessive shoot development and prevents the germination of weed seeds. 

Step 3 - Early Summer

In early summer, we apply a fertilizer with a balanced ratio to promote root development and overall stress resistance. At this time we will also include a grub control product to target and prevent damage from grubs. This application helps your lawn withstand the stresses of summer heat and prevent grubs from feeding on grass roots and causing significant lawn damage. 

Step 4 - Mid Summer

At this time we apply a post-emergent herbicide as needed to target existing weeds and spot treatment for specific areas with weed infestations if necessary. 

Step 5 - Late Summer

As the summer progresses, we apply a slow-release fertilizer with a balanced ratio or a formulation slightly higher in nitrogen to help your lawn recover from any stress and encourage growth.

Step 6 - Fall 

Our early fall application includes a fertilizer with a higher phosphorus content to promote root development and winter hardiness. Fall is a critical time for nutrient absorption and storage, preparing the grass for winter dormancy and ensuring a strong start in the following spring.

Aeration

Aeration involves creating small channels in the soil, promoting better air, water, and nutrient circulation to the grassroots. This essential process alleviates soil compaction, reduces thatch, and stimulates robust root growth. 

Overseeding

Complementing aeration, our overseeding service introduces premium grass seeds to enhance turf density and fill in bare patches, ensuring a lush and vibrant lawn.
